Gas Safety

Gas Safety Checks

Don’t forget to keep your appliances in check! Protect yourself, employees and the building.

Covering West Sussex, East Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey, London, Kent and Dorset we are here to support you with gas safety checks.

Any gas appliance in your home can produce carbon monoxide (CO), a highly poisonous gas which occurs when natural gas or liquid petroleum gas (LPG) doesn’t burn as it should. This could be the result of a gas appliance being improperly fitted, repaired, or maintained, or when vents have become blocked. This is why we believe it’s so important to have all of your gas appliances checked once a year by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

With our in-house Gas Safe Registered engineers, you can ensure the safety of the service is carried out to your expectation and the quality standard.

Our Gas Safe Registered Engineers, Giving You Peace of Mind

Our gas safe registered engineers are the only people legally allowed to work on gas heating systems, boilers, cookers, fires and any other gas appliance. For your peace of mind on the arrival of our experienced engineers can always provide you with the registered gas safe badge.

Our Gas Safety Checks and Services to You

All our gas safety checks are carried out by a gas safe registered engineer, who will test your gas appliances to make sure they are safe to continue operating in your home or commercial setting.

  • Set up correctly and adjusted so the gas is burning correctly
  • Suitable for the room it is located in
  • Physically stable, securely fitted and connected to the gas pipework properly
  • There is an adequate and permanent air supply that’s suitable for the appliance installed

Our Appliance Gas Safety Appliance Service

Our appliance services include the above usual routine gas safety checks as well as undertaking a more detailed gas appliance inspection and additional testing is as detailed in the manufacturer’s instructions. Some of these checks include:

  • Analysis of the combustion exhaust gases to ensure the appliance is burning the gas correctly and safely
  • A check of the appliance’s condition including signs of heat or distress, the effectiveness of seals and gaskets, and cleanliness of heat exchangers

This list is not excessive, but our gas safe registered engineers will carry out additional or different checks to suit the job. All requirements of gas safety checks vary depending on the appliance type and model and for this reason, our checks are tailored to this requirement. On completion of our gas safety checks and service, we will provide you with a gas safety certificate.

Always lookout for the warning signs. If you spot any of the signs you want to get your gas appliances looked at straight away to avoid any risks.

  • It produces a floppy yellow flame rather than a crisp blue one
  • Black/brown marks on or around the appliance

So, these are signs to look out for, however, it’s not to say that you should wait for the signs to appear before booking an annual service or general check.
